Lashes that POP….From an Estie’s View

As an Aesthetician I am VERY detail-oriented in all I do! For example, I love a holiday party and planning everything from the music to the table utensils. I love decorating the trees and finding ornaments that work together in harmony. I’m extremely picky about how I decorate my Christmas cookies. This attention to detail carries over to the day to day as I see clients; I want to help everyone achieve their skin goals and feel their absolute best down to the tiniest of details.

Lash Lifts + Tints are one of those treatments that seem so small but make a HUGE impact. Lash Lifts help define the eyes by giving them a fuller, more lifted appearance. It’s a dream. Imagine you’re wearing mascara right when you wake up and then there’s no need to reapply throughout the day or worry about smudging. This is a great alternative to lash extensions. It won’t make them thicker but it will give shape and help lengthen your lashes from root to tip. I start by taping your bottom lashes down. This just helps keep them from interfering with the top lashes that we will be lifting. After that I measure your lashes and fit them for the correct rod size. This all depends on the length of your lashes. Once I find the correct size, I’ll glue them down. Now we get to work the MAGIC! The first solution is going to help break down the disulphide bonds of the hair to make the lashes malleable so they can be molded and lifted into their new shape. The second solution is applied after to neutralize and lock in the shape of the lashes. After that we tint those babies to make them POP!

This whole process from consultation to the reveal takes about 40 minutes. 6-8 weeks is the average a lash lift lasts but mine personally have lasted about 3 months along with many of my clients lasting longer than that 8 week mark – especially if you are conditioning them in between your service ( more about that in a minute)! After care: avoid sweating, excess hot water, steam, shampoo, makeup, unapproved conditioners, and eye serums for 24 hours. Try not to rub your eye area and make sure to brush them every now and then. Avoid direct sunlight and overexposure to chlorine. I guide my clients to wait at least 8 weeks before they come back for another lift. This maintains the integrity of your lashes, because keeping them healthy is the most important thing!
